Firm Overview

Jerome O. Cohen began his law practice in Seattle's Pioneer Square in 1973. From 1975 through 1989, he gained extensive business experience with a regional real estate development and construction company including four years as president of the commercial building construction division.

In 1989, he re-opened his private practice in downtown Seattle with the goal of preventing legal problems for businesses and individuals while delivering service that is responsive to the needs of each client. A move to West Seattle in 1999 put the Law Offices of Jerome O. Cohen into the heart of that business community while continuing to be a lawyer serving King County and the greater Seattle/Bellevue region.

The firm's primary focus is on delivering preventative legal services to small to medium sized businesses. In particular, Mr. Cohen helps owners and advisors of closely held companies to conduct business in an expeditious, profitable, and legal manner while avoiding the costly, time-consuming entanglements of litigation.

"The owners of most small or medium sized companies don’t have the luxury of having multiple departments to manage each aspect of their business. They themselves need to be on top of the latest information in many areas, including taxes, employment, contract negotiation, real estate and succession planning. I bring my hands-on experience to the table to guide them in navigating these challenges." — Jerome O. Cohen
